I have both the cricut expression and the quickkutz silhouette. I am asked which one I would recommend. Before SCAL I would answer the advantage of the silhouette is cutting TT Fonts. The advantage with the cricut is cutting on 12×12 paper,…….Now with SCAL I have to recommend the Cricut
because you have the advantage of both cutting large designs and cutting TT Fonts.

I love you blog. I bought a cricut a few months ago, and sure cuts a lot a couple of months ago. I am not sure how I lived without this for so long. It has helped my husband and I start a viny business, and is great for my scrapbooking.

My husband just bought me the Cricut Expession, and I just got the Sure Cuts A Lot software. Have I died and gone to heaven or what? I had the orginal Cricut for quite a few years, and thought that was good, but this is beyond wonderful. This website is wonderful, and full of great information for me as well. I’ll be back often I’m certain of that! Hope to learn how to make my own SVG’s but in the mean time will look forward to any free ones I can get!

hi, i’ve had my cricut for about a year now and hardly ever used it until i came across sure cuts alot. It’s a great software and i love using it. There are lots of kind and clever people on the internet who share their cut files, and although they rarely get recognition or praise for their hard work and pure genious, I would love to say thankyou for anyone who shares their files and thankyou to you for sharing your work too. I think your blog is very helpful and i will be visiting it reguarly.

Having just purchased the Cricut Expression and then the SCAL last night at 2am, I am so new to this world. I can’t wait to start building my own SVG files just to cut some crazy lines or straight lines. My problem right now is finding a good script font where it doesn’t tear every time I try to cut. I am hoping that you sight will give me some great ideas and help with learning the basics.

I am new to this and am trying to figure out which would be more beneficial to me, SCAL or the Design Studio? I want the one that will be less hassle…..
1)I dont have an internet connection, but will be able to get one inorder to download any required programs….but, do you need an internet connection all the time inorder to work the programs once installed?????
2)How complicated is it to download files with SCAL and set it up on your computer?
3)If I go with SCAL, I read in other sites that it voids your warranty if you have any issues with your cricut machine, is this true? Are there usually lots of problems that arise with this?
4) Can you download font files for the Design studio or are you limited to the cartridges that you have? SCAL, I noticed you can download SVG files….what exaclty does this mean and do???????????
