Ok…Lets make an SVG file using Inkscape for Sure Cuts Alot in less than 10 easy steps.
This is the basic instructions that will get you started using Inkscape to create your own SVG files for cutting with Sure Cuts Alot software.
You will need Inkscape and Sure Cuts Alot software.
1. Open your picture. Select the image using the top arrow on the right so that arrows appear all around you image.
2. Click on Edit; Make a Bitmap Copy
3. Move your “Bitmap Copy” and delete your original image which is below the bitmap copy.
4. Click on View; Display Mode; Outline.
5.A big red X will appear over your image…that is ok.
6. Select Path; Trace Bitmap
7. A pop up window will appear. Click on Update and then Ok. Close the window.
8. You will now have your cut-out outlines. Move the X off of them and delete the X.
9. Save your file and you are done.
Open your SVG in Sure Cuts Alot and cut out your new creation!
