Cricut Christmas Ornament

Cricut Christmas Ornaments Making Christmas Ornaments for the Christmas tree today. I love handmade ornaments. So I decided to make some awesome Xmas tree ornaments with my Cricut. I have included the Scal, MTC and SVG files for these ornaments.

You will need
Four 1″ circles
Two 1/2″ circles
Eight 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Strips of paper
Eight 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Strips of contrasting paper

{all of the above are included in the cut files}

5″ of wire. Make a loop on one end of the wire. Attach a small bead. String the small 1/2″ circle on the wire. Add a larger bead and place the large circle on the wire. Add your strips alternating the colors. String another large circle on the wire.

Roll a 2×6 piece of cardstock into a tube. String the tube on the wire. This is the inner support for you ball ornament.

String another large circle on the wire. String the other end of your strips onto the wire starting with the first strip. String the big circle, a big bead, smaller circle and then a smaller bead. Loop your wire for hanging and you are done!

Move your paper strips around until the entire ball is covered and you can no longer see your inner support tube.

After a while I skipped adding the circles and only used the inside tube for support…it was faster and still looked as good.

You could also make these into awesome eggs for Easter….
